Now’s the time to whip out the sequins, the sparkle, and the shine. The idea is not to over-do any of the above. Balance is key to looking elegant rather than cheezy. A sequin top with velvet, satin, or just plain black.
Do yourself a favor, if you’re over 22, don’t go for the skin tight sequin mini dress. In order for that look to be sophisticated it has to be crafted by a top designer like Gucci … who will know enough to use the right sequin – balanced with the proper proportions. Otherwise .. it’s just not good.
