Teen Scene – Urban Outfitters
How they see it
Watching my two step-daughters pull together an outfit is a real learning experience. I’ve decided I’m just too old to pick out their stuff. I sat back and let them do the pulling. As they tried stuff on, I was looking to make sure all the important parts were covered. At first I was worried that the shopping experience would end in a fight. NOT AT ALL. They were totally open to hearing if things looked too sexy or too short etc.
Been There
Let’s face it, we’ve all been there. I can remember begging my mother to let me dress like Madonna. She let me … to a point. No bras with mesh tops. She let me express myself with a million rubber bracelets, florescent colors, and any other cues I could grab from Madonna – other than the overtly sexy ones. That was how I approached shopping with Caroline & Jocelyn. Short shorts are in with their crowd, but the ones they got at least covered their cheeks!!
