Birdcage – the modern veil

Has the traditional veil been replaced? Everything gets updated. Things go in and out of style constantly. It’s the nature of the fashion business. I’m getting married in less than a month, and I’m more attuned to what’s going on in the bridal fashion world. I’ve noticed a modern twist. The birdcage is what a lot of women are opting for instead of a traditional veil. It’s a cleaner look, less fuss. I kinda love it. Even though I’m not doing a veil, I really like the idea of this. If this were my first wedding, I would definitely be considering a birdcage.

Cupcakes & Cashmere
One of my favorite bloggers, Cupcakes & Cashmere, recently got married. She wore a beautiful birdcage. Her look was flawless. I loved her makeup, her dress … everything. Congrats Emily!
Hair Flowers & Feathers
I am going to put something in my hair on the big day. I’ve purchased a few different things to play with. I’m going to try some flower pins, or flower & feather hair comb. It really depends on the weather that day, and how my hair is reacting. Am I getting someone to do my hair? NO! I don’t like hair to look overdone. I want it to have movement, and I want to look like myself.
