Dear Makeup Fairy …

I wish there was a foundation that would blend beautifully, even out my skin tone, AND cover all the broken capilaries that a 39 year old Irish ‘girl’ has acquired through the years.
Tall order?
Maybe, but you’re the makeup fairy aren’t you???

I first bought this foundation after my colorist insisted I get a free makeup application at Frederik Fekkai last Valentine’s Day. I think they felt sorry for me, because I admitted I was going home to eat my weight in chocolate given that I didn’t have a date. It was a bit of a guilt purchase, I’ll admit.

Well, it’s the best foundation I’ve ever had! It blends beautifully into my skin. It even covers blemishes better than any concealer I have.

Is it worth $72?
I think it is! You should go into a department store that carries it, to make sure you get the proper shade.

    I am a 41 year old Scotch-English girl with blotchy skin and broken capillaries.  Using Smashbox primer has brightened my life (and God bless my Clairsonic) but I would be open to a new foundation.  I wonder if the Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom in Austin carry this – I might be willing to check it out!
