When I travel, I keep if fairly simple, comfortable, and well thought out. I wear a pair of pants that will also play into my wardrobe during the trip. The top is usually a cotton tee, and I like to have a sweater/wrap in case it gets cold on the plane. The shoes are almost always flat, in case I need to run to catch the flight. Jewelry is minimal, to avoid any further security line hold-up.

What you avoid by planning your outfit, is the velour tracksuit “don’t”. Traveling is not an excuse to look like you’re going for a long nap.
