army green

This is one way to interpret the military trend. It’s a casual look that reads “on trend” without going overboard. I like the Splendid army top because it looks a little worn. It should look a little beaten up, that’s what makes it cool. In fact, if you can go to an Army/Navy store to get a used jacket or shirt – that would be brilliant.

One of my readers is a soldier in Iraq right now – I’m guessing this is a look she could do without. Although, she could certainly make more than a few bucks selling her perfectly worn army clothes RIGHT NOW! I call first bid!! :)

Jean, the old Army uniforms were much cuter! I gave one of my old tops to my sister, and I broke in my old combat boots by wearing them to school with a floral skirt in high school.

I do like some of the military looks, especially peacoats, and jackets with rows of brass buttons. Very Napoleon chic! :) Though when I get home I have a feeling I am going to veer towards ultra-girly to make up for this year.

I love peacoats too. I figured you would be OVER the whole army look by the time you got home!
