have you ever?

have you ever…

The alarm rings. It’s the start of a new glorious day. Your eyelids creep open.
Uh oh.
It can’t be time to get up! Have I even slept?

You drag yourself out of bed, suck down some coffee hoping for a jolt of energy.

NOTHING.

You take a hot shower letting the water run across your face. Thinking “this is bound to refresh me”.

NOTHING.

You drag yourself through each hour of your day – dreaming of laying in your bed. You can practically feel the soft pillow on your face. As you stare at the computer your eyelids get heavier and heavier. You get up, walk around, trying to energize.

NOTHING.

I can’t very well go back to bed. I have to take care of kids, dogs, work, get food on the table, do laundry, and be present in my life. Frustration sets in. You check the clock to see how many hours until you can go to bed. Crap, it’s only 2:44.
What am I going to do?
Starbucks run ASAP! I’ll get a triple Venti nonfat latte, with a redbull chaser? No, No … that may do me in. The hot coffee feels good running down my throat, it’s the best I’ve felt all day.
That may be just the right amount to get me through the day. I just need to make it through dinner, and then I can veg-out for awhile.

So… you’ve all had days like that right?
RIGHT?
Hello?
Is anybody there?
Great, please say you’ve all been there.
Tomorrow is a new day … a better day. I hope!

Try a nia class, may not cure the sleepless nights, but it may decrease them!!
    Happy Tuesday!

Yes! A resounding yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Rx: lay down on the floor and do “Legs up the wall” pose for 15 to 20 minutes. It's a-ma-zing! (check it out: http://yoga.about.com/od/yogaposes/a/legsup.htm) It supposedly equals a long nap….
