vintage shopping – my epic fail
try, try again
I really want to be a good vintage shopper, BUT I’m not. I’ve been to about six vintage shops in the past couple of weeks, hoping to have the “yes” experience.
Not happening!
To be honest, I get a little skeeved out. I keep thinking – “who wore this” or “has this been cleaned properly?” Clearly my Mother has ruined me! “Vintage shopping” in her closet is SO much better!!
accessory success
I’m a much better vintage accessory shopper. I have no problem buying belts, necklaces, or handbags. Shoes … still NO.
what I walked away with
I had the most fun at Dolly Python, a vintage store here in Dallas. I couldn’t help but giggle at the old phones, smurf glasses, and stuff from the 70′s and 80′s. I loved it! I bought this red belt, and a black lizard belt with gold leaf clasps.
never give up
Well… I will keep trying. I’m trying to earn my black belt in shopping, and I certainly won’t get there if I give up on vintage shops! Do you guys know any GREAT vintage shops? I would REALLY like to know. Thanks!
Have a great weekend. xoxo
