Nordstrom reigns

I know I’ve expressed my frustration before, but plus-size clothing almost always disappoints. The one place I seem to find the best pieces is Nordstrom. The quality is good, the design is good (for the most part), and the clothing looks current.

I love this dress. It’s flirty, feminine, and accentuates the waist. She doesn’t look like she’s trying to tent herself, she’s complimenting her curves. She also looks on trend. Oh … and the dress is only $88. The dress can be found here … Robbie Bee Short Sleeve Chambray Dress (Plus)

The other stores I have come across don’t even compare.
Why is that? Why can’t a plus-size girl find quality, well structured clothing?

It’s disheartening that the plus-size woman is continually forced to wear unflattering clothing. The choices are disastrous, it’s a no-win situation.

    I hear you! Not too long ago I complained on Twitter about how many companies seem to think that they can slap the plus-size label on any shapeless item in a cutesy print. Yuck.

    It's really tough. I ordered some things from DorothyPerkins and more recently a few items from ASOS' “Curve” line. Switzerland is a sad, sad place when it comes to plus-size clothing. Or any cute clothing, really. And it's even worse for shoes!

    I know! I really can't understand it. It's an area that needs attention, and has been completely ignored. The fabrics are usually horrible, the fit is horrendous, and there is rarely style. I keep looking and looking, and am always disappointed.
