my mom’s house

There’s something about my Mom’s house that is always so peaceful. Everything has it’s place, it’s quiet, and the colors are calming. I guess it could be that she doesn’t have four dogs constantly barking, or have little kids running around screaming. Although, even my kids are calm and quiet in this environment – odd!

She has so many pretty little details on tables, and around the house. It’s not overdone, it’s just enough to make each thing catch your eye in a special way. Like a grouping of antique tortoise boxes. You can tell she didn’t just buy these pieces, she scouted them out.

The outside is laid out much the same way. The plantings are strategic, and perfectly manicured. The pool is the deepest blue, it’s refreshing just to look at it.
