uninspired madness

the flat line

Have you ever felt like you have nothing to say?
Like you have nothing of value to add to the conversation?
You look around, in magazines, books, people walking by, and nothing says “YES”. It can be maddening.

So, what do I do when I don’t see anything “fabulous”?

Answer: I look at beautiful fashion photography.
Today, these are my favorites.

The purple in this picture is so graceful. I see purity here, like a girl going home. Love it.

The determined city girl. This dress is powerful in a Manhattan setting.

The free-spirit. She’s relaxed and natural. I love the dress she’s wearing. It’s exactly where I want to be on most Summer days.

I love the colors in this photo.

tell me…

What little things inspired you today?
Have you seen anything ‘great’ that you’d like to share?
I would love to hear.
Have a great weekend! xoxox

I currently live in a place covered in gravel, concrete, and sand… it's hard to find inspiration sometimes!

That being said, I've got a project here where I paste my favorite photos of clothes, bags, shoes, etc. from different magazines, sort of an inspiration book! Everyone here knows I love glossy magazines, so when people are finished with Vogue, InStyle, Elle, etc., they bring them to my office and I scour them for inspiration. The heat is making the glue fail in my book, so my Mom is sending me some ModPodge in a care package so I can seal everything properly!

I love that! When I was in college, I wallpapered my room with fashion magazine covers. Thanks for sharing!
