how to make a coverup double as a top

Leave a response ->

hooked on a feeling

Have you ever been drawn to a top on a particular day? You’re not sure why, you’re just ‘feelin’ that top.

That happened to me today. Except, the top I wanted to wear was really a coverup.

It’s a Liberty of London (for Target) coverup. It’s light weight, has pretty colors, and the cotton feels good against my skin. I tried it on, but it was just too long to be a top. After a few minutes of trying on other tops, I decided to try to make it work.

things to try

I tried belting it, but that didn’t look right.
I tried it with leggings, and felt like a 12 year old.
I tried to wear it long over jeans … uh no.
I finally just tied it to one side.

I added some ‘Flintstone’ jewelry to pop it up.
Voila, my look for the day.

    Okay, I HAD to come back and comment on this post!

    I had NO idea that was not a tunic top! I bought it as one and have been wearing it like that for weeks! So funny! It just was the only thing that was cotton and not poly/rayon so I snapped it up!

    This post made me laugh aloud when I first read it, so I had to come back and share – thanks for enlightening me!

    LOL – me too. When I first saw it I thought it was a tunic. When I looked at tag it said cover-up. Agreed- it was the only one with a fabric I could handle. It's actually has a pretty nice feel.
