what if…

You had one day to be anywhere, wear anything, without the worry of money constraints or time. Just blink your eyes, where would you be today?

Fantasy Friday morning

I would…

Wake up in a beautiful beachside house in Gulf-Stream Florida. I hear the sound of the waves crashing, and I blissfully walk out to the kitchen for some fresh coffee. I open the sliding glass doors to enjoy the ocean air, when I hear them talking.
Uh oh, what have I missed?
The girls are already outside sipping coffee, laughing, and (no doubt) gossiping.

“Hey, hey! Wait for me. What are we talking about???”
We sit for awhile talking, and slowly make our way inside to change into our suits.

Mary: “I’m not sitting in the sun, I don’t want to ruin my skin.”
Carolyn: “I don’t care, I’m getting bronzed baby!”
Me: “Who wants to go for a walk on the beach?”
Kathy: “I’ll go. It’s so gorgeous out!”
We hear a voice from behind

It’s so beautiful, you could be anywhere – right girls?!

It was Mom. We all stopped and gazed out to the ocean, remembering.

The cafe side please…
Beluga caviar, Salmon, and chocolate lava cake.
There are at least five different conversations going at once. You have to be in this family to know how to follow, what to take in, what to avoid, and what will make everyone belly laugh. At the end of the evening, our bellies full, we go back to the house. We get into our jammies, and sit on the couch like we did when we were girls.
It may never happen this way, but wouldn’t it be great!

      Well, being in Baghdad, every day is Fantasy Friday!

      I would be in NYC… start the day in skinny jeans/boots, oversized sunglasses, large handbag in tow, taking in the city and window shopping, uptown first in Herald Square and then working my way down via Subway, passing by Magnolia Bakery for cupcakes or Pinkberry for some fro-yo… make my way further downtown for a wonderful dinner in Little Italy, penna alla vodka with a glass of crisp white wine. Then maybe get dolled up and don my heels and some blingin' jewelry for a night out with girlfriends, cocktail in hand of course!

      I am from a family where we all talk at one time and somehow manage to follow each other. I love it! And isn't it wonderful having sisters? It's the best!

      Where's Gulf-Stream? I'm from Boca and am always amazed at the number of towns in Florida with which I am unfamiliar.

      Sisters are the best! We can fight like crazy, but we've got each other's backs forever. Gulf-Stream is a little north of Boca. If you go up A1A just past Delray beach.
