Body Glove swimsuits were all the rage in the eighties. The neon colors, the neoprene fabric, and the ‘surfer girl meets bond girl’ design – fantastic.

Lisa Marie Fernandez has brought a high-end version of the look back into focus. Her take is more sophisticated, and EXPENSIVE!

look for less

If you like the look , but not necessarily the price tag, Body Glove still makes some similar suits. The selection isn’t as vast as it once was. Now would be the perfect time for Body Glove to bring back the 80′s suits with 2010 appeal. This Summer they would sell out.

    Ah, Body Glove!

    I lived near the beach in high school, and I had more than a few Body Glove pieces! They coordinated beautifully with my neon-hued Zinka for face. So fun to mix-and-match.

    Will I be revisiting? Uh, no. But I loved it in the 80s!
