my RODARTE reaction

Early yesterday morning I skipped off to Target, leaving my husband home with two sleeping boys. I really wanted to have a look at what RODARTE had designed for Target. I tried not to get too excited, because I had been let down before when high-end designers had done a collection for Target, H&M, etc. In the past, the fabrics and designs were just not there. RODARTE did it well.

… proved to be fun, imaginative, and feminine. It is not a reflection of what RODARTE thinks the Target shopper wants. Basically, they’re giving fashionista’s, who may not be able to afford their high-end line, a chance to experience their designs. I think it’s refreshing and brilliant. Some women will have no idea what to do with this Collection, but the ones who do… will have a blast playing. I’m really excited about the pieces I walked away with.

My Favorites

It’s hard to tell from the picture, but the navy tool skirt has a silk slip under it with a lace trim. The navy tone is very rich, and will work brilliantly with black. I plan on wearing a black cami under the navy lace top, opaque black stockings, patent leather pumps, and a velvet fitted jacket. I love that I have a cute outfit for Christmas eve!
