Can you say … Fashion Relapse?! Denim Leggings should have been quit cold-turkey in the 80′s. They are just one of those things that should never have come back into style. They were certainly not our best fashion moment.

Who decided we should revisit this style? Are we that frozen in fashion that we couldn’t come up with anything better? Are we out of new ideas?

I seriously am horrified by the acid washed version. The dark denim leggings don’t scare me quite as much, but they are still pretty horrendous. Can anyone tell me if they like Denim leggings and why? I’m open to hearing the other side of this trend. I may just be experiencing a bad 80′s flashback moment, and maybe someone can shine new light on this fashion nightmare.

      Ugh. Even though they don't look that bad on me, I am not wearing them. Gross.

      Maybe someone had been using too much acid on their jeans lately and killed off a few thousand brain cells… Or perhaps its the same people that hired LiLo for Ungaro that decided to bring back this trend.
      those are really the only logical reason I can think of why these would be back in style.

      Wow! The ones on Melodie's site are seriously bad! Yikes!! I honestly think they're all bad. Not flattering. Maybe on a Tween girl who has no hips yet.

      denim leggings?!?!?!? wtf! i hate leggings to begin with and these are just gross. they look really uncomfortable and unflatering =P

      I agree…they'd look fine (good even) on someone with no curves or hips. And, definitely with a tunic top or a dress.

      No one can deny the comfort of leggings… I've actually been searching for the perfect pair. I want them for wearing with my tall boots. I have thick calves as is making absolutely no room for me to tuck in jeans. Denim leggings would solve this problem. I of course would wear it with a top that is longer so they look more polished and less 80's… However they have to be dark denim and with great stitching. I'm still searching however…

      I think that if they are in a dark, uniform wash and look more like real jeans (with a zipper and a button, not like the ones pictured) and they are worn tucked into boots with a top that covers the bum that they could be cute on lots of people. To me they are a more specialized version of a skinny jean. Given that, I doubt I'll be buying a pair – I'll just wear my skinny or straight leg jeans for the same function. But I can see how some women might find them useful.
