I have just returned from my first trip back to the Big Apple. When we moved to Dallas, I knew I would need to fly to New York about once a month for meetings, business events, and to see family I left behind.

This trip, I was there doing a campaign shoot for Century 21 Department Store. It was quite a whirlwind trip.

  • I flew in Saturday,
  • Did research downtown Sunday,
  • Got up at 5 A.M. Monday morning to be ‘camera ready’,
  • Start shooting at a painfully early 8 A.M.


    • Did I mention I had to drive an hour into the city?
    YIKES!!
    Coffee, lots of coffee.

    I have to admit, it was a lot of fun hanging out with fellow fashion bloggers like Yuli from MyItThings, Jennifer and Beth from StyleBakery, Jennine from TheCoveted, and Carol from SecondCityStyle. Stay tuned for more on Century 21!


    Pieces to Pack

    I tried to pack items that would work well with each other. I needed an edgy downtown look, which I got with the leather vest, Ash boots, and leggings. A country look, which I got with the cardigan, jeans, and engineer boots. I also needed a travel look, which I got with the leggings, the cardigan, a graphic tee, and the engineer boots. The pieces I chose ended up playing really well off one another. It’s such a relief when you can pull off a seamless pack!

      My J Brand pencil leg jeans are the most practical, versatile thing in my wardrobe. I love them so.

      Love Century 21! I haven't been in ages and ages, but the last time I went I saw two B&T girls literally wrestling over a turquoise Versace jacket. AWESOME!

      My Jbrand jeans are my skinny jeans. I can't even go near them if I'm feeling slightly bloated. This.. makes me sad!
