Fall fashion in the heat

As I told you yesterday, I’ve moved to Dallas. Let me start off by saying, don’t believe everything you’ve heard. The women, where I live, don’t have big hair. They don’t wear crazy pink lipstick, and they don’t have gigantic fake boobs. From what I’ve seen so far, I’m pleasantly surprised. The women of Dallas take very good care of themselves. They are very interested in fashion, and staying in the “know”. The “look” around here seems to be a bit more edgy than I expected, and I love it. Women are willing to take risks, and they do it successfully. Well done ladies.

People keep asking me if my style is going to change? The answer to that is “no”. I will definitely be adding a few pieces to accommodate the weather. Peep toe, and ankle booties will play a bigger part in my wardrobe. I’ll be pairing booties with fuller skirts, instead of with jeans. Normally, I would be pounding the pavement trying to find “THE” boot for Fall. I’m going to wait to make that purchase until it gets a little cooler. Even in the heat, people are embracing Fall colors. I’m gravitating toward purple again this year. It’s such a rich color, it looks good on almost everyone. A faux fur vest will get a lot more play here than it would have in New York. It’s decadent over almost anything. I’m also completely in love with this Be & D handbag! The ruffles add texture, the studs add a funky twist, and the structure makes it pristine. I’m eying it in Chocolate brown though. My eyes are wide open, and I’m taking it all in right now. So far, I think the wardrobe possibilities are endless.
