military coats

Military coats and jackets always look classic. This season you’ll see the street-chic version. The clean lines of the military jacket will be softened by t-shirts, leggings, suede boots, and skinny jeans. Keep in mind, you can always dress up your military coat. Pair it with slacks or a skirt for a completely different look. It’s a good investment piece!

You can go a little slouchy under a military coat this season. It’s an unexpected look, that’s sophisticated yet casual.

I love this look! My sister has a gray wool military coat almost identical to the Mark Jacobs one above - except she got it 15+ years ago at a thrift store!
I love the pink lining on the top one - so pretty and unexpected!
    • The thrift store ones are the best kind! Tell your sis to hold onto that one.
    • I LOVE military-style coats and jackets. The only problem I have with them is that they tend to be kind of unflattering on plus-size gals like myself. I have a lovely black military jacket and it makes me look like a fat Jack In The Box. Any tips?
    • If you could find a coat that had the military vibe, but is single breasted. That will giving you a more feminine line & not so boxy. :)
