The trends in denim are always shifting. One year, the skinny is hot. The next year it’s all about the boot-cut. For Fall we’re seeing a bit of a newcomer, and a blast from the past.

Newcomer

The motocross style jean is pretty new to the scene. It’s got a hard edge, and a bit of a bad girl attached to it. Think Angelina Jolie. So, it can be very sexy if done well. Pair it with a simple white tee that is NOT too tight. You’ll also see motocross style jackets this Fall as well.

Blast from the past

The blast from the past is the studded jean. I thought we were over embellished denim, but it looks like studs will make another appearance. I immediately think of Jessica Simpson. Keep it simple with embellished denim. Don’t go stud crazy! If you dig the studded look, make sure it’s minimal.
