the power of Mom

Mom

Her hand has the power to heal. Her smile can light up the sky. Her hug can reach you from miles away. She has taught you how to love, and how to believe. She has shown you how to go on in the face of great tragedy. She will put her sadness aside to fill his shoes. She will not only plan the wedding, but she will walk you down the aisle. She will find the strength to be the Mother and the Father. She gives it to you straight, no matter how bad it may be. She will help you pick up the pieces, and show you your strength. She will love you unconditionally…forever. SHE is your Mom. Celebrate that! So, grab your best dress, and take your mom out for Brunch. Bring her flowers, and a gift. Spoil her as she has spoiled you for so many years. Hopefully, your kids will take a cue from you – and treat you with the same respect. Here’s to hoping. Happy Mother’s Day Girls!!!

My mom is coming to visit me for birthday (which conveniently hovers around Mother's Day each year) so I am excited to celebrate with her. We are having champagne and cheese, getting pedis, and shopping while “the boys” play golf. It's a treat for me as much as it is for her – if not more! My mom is sporty, however, so we will be wearing yoga pants and hoodies. It's our way. For brunch – maybe a blazer with jeans.

      Happy Mother's Day!

PS: Is that a photo of you with your mom?!

Well mothers day was yesterday and I still feel that we should celebrate our mothers everyday.
