I’m a little insulted! Do they think we’re total fools?

$375 for destroyed denim is insane to me. In fact, anything over $220 is a deal breaker for me. I’m  comfortable spending $150, and I’m thrilled if I can spend under a $100. Denim over $200 better make me look like I’m a couple of inches taller and a few pounds lighter!! I expect more at that price, I don’t expect to get a beaten up pair of jeans that, let’s face it, I could make myself.

Would you pay $375 for these jeans? Is there any pair of jeans you would spend that amount on? What’s the most you would pay for a pair of jeans – if they made you look like a superstar?

      $200-225 is probably my limit. MAYBE $250. Now, if I wasn't reasonably tall and it was difficult for me to find jeans, then I might spend even more. I converted to premium denim in 2000 with a purchase of 7s at the Beverly Center on a trip to LA and never looked back. To look like a true superstar?! I might go to $500 – but please don't tell my husband that! ;)

      The shredded look?! Please. I remember shredding a pair of my Calvin Klein jeans my freshman year in college, and thought they were so cool. I was 18. Enough said. I'm not paying extra for it – especially now that I am in my 30s. It's too young for me, and it just makes me look unpolished.

      You are so funny! I agree – who knows how much I would pay for jeans that made me look like a superstar. I agree on the whole shredded thing! I don't even like it on younger people :)

      I am not very fond of torn jeans unless its natural wear and tear, but to fork out huge amounts of money on a pair now thats something that I wouldn't do.

      I have been on four planes in the last 3 days and saw this everywhere! Most people seem to be missing the point (such as it is) and are going WAY too sloppy with this trend. Wearing shredded jeans with t-shirts, flip-flops, and tank tops just makes someone look like a hobo.
