disappointed by DVF

Apparently, times are so tough that designers are having us dress the part. Bag-Lady Chic? I’m having a hard time understanding what happened to this collection. It seems confused, without direction. I might be able to work with one piece at a time, but not all at once. What do you think? Do you find comfort in the “anything goes” feel of this collection? Or does it leaving you wondering what to do next?

I love DVF but may I just say, “URGH!” Yuckola. Bag lady-meets-Bozo. It doesn't give me comfort but rather makes me feel unsettled and headachey.

While I adore hats and wear them regularly – those are awful and make each ensemble clownish and ridiculous.

    Sorry. I'm not much of a word-mincer.

  2. I know! I was so excited to see what DVF had planned for Fall – AND THEN… I'm speechless as well. It gives me a headache too.

  3. This campaign by DVF is utterly disappointing, the dresses look more like quilts and the head dress looks cancerous! :(

Ugh. Bag lady indeed. What was she thinking? Love the colors but the as a whole… shocking for DVF.
