Good point – Apple shapes have a hard time defining their waist. She's smart to play up her legs then. I should probably do a post on body shapes Pears – apples etc. Thanks

I couldn't agree more about petites and capris, however, I recently went shopping for pants with my sister, who is petite, and even IN the petites section we found MOSTLY CAPRI pants! What is up with that?
Also, about defining the waist, this might not be the right move if, like my sister, you are thicker in the middle. She has thin legs and hips, but no waist to speak of, so she usually goes for swing jackets and fitted pants and pencil skirts with pointy toe heels. She can also get away with mini shift dresses better than us pear shapes.
