what to wear in a winter wonderland
Every year I find myself in the same predicament, ill equipped for the inevitable snow storm. Once the first couple of inches fall, my two boys are running upstairs to put on their snow pants and gathering up their gear. ” Come on Mom, help us with the sleds!” It’s at that point I realize – oops I never bought snow pants, or a snow jacket, or waterproof gloves, or snow boots. I’m about to spend hours in a snow pile, and I’m going to freeze. Well, when I actually get my act together, this is what I imagine I will buy. I’m going to stick to basic colors, because I’m not exactly a “snow-bunny”. A black puffer jacket is something I can wear all winter long, it’s not just for the snow. White snow pants add contrast in a simple way. Of course, I’m going to pop in a bit of fun with the Kate Spade earmuffs! That’s it, I’m set for the next ten years… or until my boys think it’s “not cool” to bring Mom sledding anymore. Unfortunately, that’s probably going to happen sooner than later. C’est la Vie…
