    Jean,
I just watched your clip about the makeover shows and you are too right (though they are a bit like a car wreck and I can't seem to look away). My personal style is best described as “business casual” (you were kind enough to refer to it as “classic”). How do I integrate some of the new trends out there with my basic jeans-blazer-button down and heels look?

You could consider going with a silk blouse instead of a button-down – it's a little more feminine & will fall beautifully. Layer some necklaces with that or some bracelets – whichever you're more comfortable with. For heels – try to go with a patent or a red leather. It gives a classic look a fresh edge. A clutch is another way to look current. Again, you can go with patent or red leather. A clutch is a great place to have a little fun and be more daring – maybe a skin or animal print? I hope this helps. If you would prefer me to do a full post on this – I would be happy to. Thanks
