no, no, no! another 80s thing that REALLY should have stayed buried IMO. I'm OK with lace in small quantities. The new InStyle issue has some cute pieces. But lace leggins? no. no, no, no. really, no. they look kind of tarty, don't they? (is it ok to say that?)

Not sure it's a trend I'll adopt. I love lace, but on my legs? I did see a woman my age (mid-20s) in lace tights paired with a shift dress just yesterday at a business event. So someone is wearing them…

I won't be doing lace leggings any time soon. It's not that they're “tarty”–I think “tacky” is a more appropriate term. Lace is lovely, but not on legs, no matter which generation you hail from…my purely subjective take on that.

I think the black lace is in right now. Match them with a cute tunic top, adorable mini dress and ankle boots and you're set! I guess your age can play a part in your decision to wear or not but I would prefer to look at it from a standpoint of where you are going out to when going with black lace. A night club – definitely, a friend's part – could be, a work related function…not so much!

i just bought a pair of lace print leggings today which is not as full on as real lace. i will be wearing them with floaty tops, chiffon, sky high details black heels and my vintage black biker jacket for a romantic grunge look. i think age probably plays a part but if you really want to wear lace on legs then maybe a subtle lace stockings with a vintage shift could work, but otherwise confidence makes every outfit yours

I wear mine with black motorcycle boots, white cut off shorts, black shirt and black leather jacket. Looks great, get lots of compliments!

I'm going to a 40th birthday bash on Friday nite and have just bought a pair of lacey leggins that look fab. I have high shoes or ankle boots to go with them, but not sure what to wear on top. I want something that has the “wow” factor.

I would go for something fluid, or like a tunic in black – Mara Hoffman style. Be careful not to go too tight on top. I think the ankle booties would look great!
