how to look good in your gym clothes all day long

Leave a response ->

We’ve all been there, too busy to get dolled up after we hit the gym. So, how do we do it without looking a mess? Easy… plan ahead. Pack a bag with a fresh pullover or wrap shirt, include some flip-flops, so you can get out of your sweaty sneaks, face wash, and your favorite make-up. Don’t go overboard with the make-up, you want to look sporty. Remember to choose pieces that dry easily and quickly. Wear sleek bottoms that work as well outside the gym as they do in. Or, you could always change into a pair after the workout. With all the new yoga clothing out there, you’re bound to find a perfect pair. Toss your hair back in a low pony-tail, throw on some shades, and you’re good to go – for a few hours anyway.

    • Do you really think it's stylish to wear gym clothes all day long? This surprises me.
    • Sometimes we don't have a choice. We have our children, and our work - some days we can't find time to glam it up. We just do the best we can. Luckily, gym clothes have gotten much more stylish in the last five years.
    • I haven't seen them around much, but the yoga clothes from the Nuala line (Christy Turlington for Puma) were definitely pretty enough to wear all day. I like these pairings, too. I'm not so much into sporty flip flops though, I would probably prefer a pair of casual flats, maybe some cute yoga shoes?

    • I agree with Angie.. I don't see how wearing gym clothes all day is stylish.
    • It can be - if you do it right. Sometimes... there isn't enough time in the day to look gorgeous and get a workout in. So... we deal! Is it the most stylish day of our live ... no! That's just life though.
    • Thanks Jean for this!! This is very helpful, especially for us style moms who have active lifestyle's and active kids. Track season is coming up for my lil guy and it's ALL day every Saturday. So being able to hit up a quick yoga class first thing sat a.m. then shuttle him to the meet, pitch the tent with the rest of the family, help work the ribbon table and still look stylish is KEY for me..thanks for all the Stylemoms!!!
